The book signing at the Barnes & Noble store in Kansas City proved very popular with fans who wanted their cartoon collections signed by the men who produced them. Seated are (L to R): Patrick McDonnell ("Mutts"), Rick Kirkman ("Baby Blues"), Jerry Scott ("writer, "Baby Blues" and "Zits"), and Brian Basset ("Red and Rover"). Other cartoonists signing books were Dan Piraro ("Bizzaro"), Stephen Pastis (Pearls before Swine"), Greg Evans ("Luann"), and Brad Anderson ("Marmaduke").
