MORE ROY DOTY
If you were one of the rowdy mob present
at Roy Doty's 85th birthday
party, you were fortunate to catch a glimpse of some of Roy's latest
work -- a series of typically amazingly intricate posters featuring cats,
doves and more. No need for me to describe, as the posters and other Doty
items are featured merchandise at a new website, Alphabetics. These must be seen!
While we're at it, GLC member Wayno found this
BLOG TRIBUTE to Doty, and we're happy to share.

LOTSA ROB HARRELL NEWS
Straight from the man hisself --
Hi everybody,
I'm happy to announce that there's a new
Big Top book available! I've got a few things to tell you about,
so let's get started...
1. The book! 'Sawdust and Greasepaint' is the
second collection of Big Top strips, and it picks up right where the last
book ends. So, act now! Get your hands on one of these babies! Buy ten!
They make great gifts...
'Sawdust and Greasepaint' is only available through
Lulu.com. It's a great print-on-demand site where I was able to design
the book myself. It looks great and... this could just be me, but I swear
the strips are extra funny.
Okay. The link:

2. The next order of business is to let you know about
the NEW and IMPROVED website, www.robharrell.com... It's so new, it still
has that new website smell. It has a great Big Top section, where you can
see a bunch of my favorite strips. Plus, information on my fine art and
illustration work.
So, check it out at www.robharrell.com
3. Third, let me tell you about the Big Top Shop at
CafePress.com This is where you can fill all of your Big Top merchandise
needs. T-shirts, coffee mugs, stickers and the like. Get 'em while they're
hot at... Big
Top Shop at CafePress
4. And finally, I wanted to let everyone know about
my show in San Francisco in November! This is my second solo show of my
paintings this year. The first, at the Wally Workman Gallery in Austin,
Texas, went really well. I'm now excited to be having a show at the Hespe
Gallery in San Francisco on November 10th. If you're in the area, come
by and say Hi. The links to these galleries are below...

Okay! Sorry so long-winded, but I've been saving up
my news until the book was ready. Thank you for all of your support!
Sincerely,
